Great grandmaster Kangwon J. Lee is a senior Taekwondo FIRST generation Grandmaster from Republic of Korea. GGM Lee holds 9th degree black belt in both Kukkiwon and Chung Do Kwan, which is the highest level attainable. He belongs to Chung Do Kwan, which is the main root of the Taekwondo federation back in 1950's and still the biggest and strongest as of today.
Grandmaster Hakjae Lee is son of GGM Lee. He is the 2nd generation school owner and head Master at the Lee's Taekwondo Academy. He holds 7th Dan in Kukkiwon and 9th Dan in Chung Do Kwon. Both Grandmasters been teaching in US more then 50 years.
GGM Kangwon Lee started his Taekwondo journey when he was 10 years old and became the 1st degree black belt in 1955. GGM Lee used to be an instructor of the Police Academy and the Special Arm Force in Korea. He has many years of experience of teaching professionally. GGM Lee was then sent to USA to spread Taekwondo in 1982. He has had schools in Indiana, Illinois, and Michigan. Then family moved to Massachussetts in 1993 to start a new journey of Taekwondo till now. GGM Lee became the first president of the New England Taekwondo Association in 1997 and continues to give his full support to the federation as a senior advisor. GM Hakjae Lee who's been teaching as a head master since he moved to US in 1987 is now teaching all classes. He also was a president of NETKDA for two terms in 2004-2008.
GGM Lee and his son GM Lee has commitments of being Taekwondo practitioner has reached its goal and appreciated in many ways.
